Stage One
This is a major step
Think carefully before you start
Do have clear reasons for working abroad
Do not focus on one aim – money, lifestyle, culture
Do have a balanced view
Do as much research as you can before you start
Plan ahead
Involve your family, partner, friends from the outset
Consider carefully your overall circumstances:
- Marriage
- Children/Schooling
- Pets
- Parents
- Friends
- House/Mortgage
- Visas
- Medical/Health Requirements
- Qualifications/Educational Requirements
Realise that this is a life changing decision not a short term gain. Do realise that expat motor trade roles on contracts in the UAE etc. only carry UK style holidays and you may not be able to fly home for 9 – 10 months.
